PEPER SHUKTO
Ingredients
- 1 medium potato
- 1 medium brinjal
- 1 medium bitter gourd
- 1 medium raw banana
- 1 medium papaya
- 1 medium radish
- 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon ginger paste
- 1 tablepoon mustard seeds
- 1 teaspoon methi powder
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 2 tablespoon oil
Instructions
- Take a pan and heat the oil in it.
- Now fry the vegetables one by one.
- Keep them aside.
- Now put the poppy seeds and mustard seeds in a blender and blend them to a paste.
- Now heat butter in a pan and add the ginger paste to it.
- Sir till the raw smell goes out.
- Now add little water just a cup.
- Add all the vegetables and salt to it.
- Now add the paste made.
- Stir them a little and let the vegetables get softened.
- If needed add 1 more cup of water and cook the vegetables by covering the lid.
- Our yummy shukto is ready.
- Just add 1 spoon of ghee from the top and serve them with hot steamed rice.
Notes
- Soak the mustard seeds and poppy seeds in warm water for 30 minutes.
- Cut all vegetables in long sizes.

FISH SHUKTO (MACHER SHUKTO)

MACHER SHUKTO
Ingredients
- 1 medium brinjal
- 2 medium potato
- 1 medium raw banana
- 4 pieces carp fish
- 1 tablespoon mustard seeds
- 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
- 1 cup milk
- 2 dried red chili
- 1 tablespoon ginger paste
- 1 tablespoon salt
- half cup oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
Instructions
- Heat oil in a wok.
- Add the fish to it when the oil becomes heated up.
- Fry the fish very nicely till the color changes to golden brown.
- Keep them aside.
- Now add the vegetables one by one to the oil and fry them very well.
- Keep them aside.
- Now put the mustard seeds and poppy seeds in a blender and blend them to a smooth paste.
- Now to the same oil add the dried red chili and the ginger paste.
- Stir them till the raw smell goes out.
- Next, add the paste made and salt to it.
- Stir them for 2 seconds and add 1 cup of water to it.
- Add all the fried vegetables to it.
- Let them simmer and get cooked.
- Next, add the milk to it when the vegetables get tender.
- Now add the fish to the wok.
- Stir them nicely.
- Now add the butter on the top and also you can split green chili and add to it.

- Serve them with hot steamed rice.

Ingredients
- 1 cup Thankuni leaves
- 1 medium raw papaya
- 2 medium potato
- 1 small raw banana
- 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
- 1 tablespoon mustard seeds
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 2 green chili
- 1 tablespoon ginger paste
- 2 dried red chili
- 2 tablespoon oil
- 1 tablespoon ghee
Instructions
- Heat oil in a wok.
- Add All the vegetables to the wok one by one and fry them nicely.
- Now put the poppy and mustard seeds in a blender and blend them to a smooth paste.
- Now, Into the same oil add the dried red chili and ginger paste.
- Stir them till the raw smell goes out.
- Now, add the thankuni leaves chopped into small pieces to the wok and stir them nicely.
- If needed add half cup of water to it.
- Now add the paste to the wok and stir them nicely for 2 minutes.
- Next, add the fried vegetables to it.
- Cover the lid and stir them so that the vegetables gets soften.
- Now, add the milk and stir them for 2 minutes.
- Add the green chili and cover the lid and let them simmer for 5 minutes on low flame.
- Now add the ghee from the top and our yummy shukto is ready to be served,
