BHOGER KHICHDI

BHOGER KHICHDI

The following ingredients are needed to make this special bhoger khichdi recipe.

  • 2 cups of Gobind vog rice
  • 1 cup of moong dal
  • 1 medium-sized potato cubed
  • 1 medium cauliflower
  • Half cup of tomato chopped
  • 1 tablespoon of ginger paste
  • Half cup of coconut sliced
  • Half cup of green peas
  • 4 tablespoons of mustard oil
  • 2 tablespoons of ghee
  • 1 dried red chilli
  • 4 cloves
  • 1 cinnamon sticks
  • 4 cardamom
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 tablespoon of turmeric powder
  • 1 tablespoon of red chilli powder
  • 1 tablespoon of cumin powder
  • 1 tablespoon of garam masala powder
  • 1 tablespoon of salt
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar

All we need to do at first is Wash the rice nicely and keep them aside. Next, take a bowl and add the turmeric powder, Red chilli powder, salt, cumin powder, sugar, garam masala, 1 tablespoon of mustard oil and 4 tablespoons of water. Mix them and make a paste of them and keep them aside. Next heat a pan and add the moong dal to it. Dry roast them for 5 minutes on low flame till the aroma comes out. And keep them aside. Now heat another pan and put 2 tablespoons of mustard oil in it. Next add the potatoes, cauliflower, cashews, raisins and coconut slices one by one. Fry them nicely one by one and keep them aside. Next, put a pot in a flame and put the mustard oil and add the dried red chilli, cloves, cinnamon sticks, cardamom, cumin seeds, and bay leaves one by one and stir them for 1 minute. Now add the tomatoes and soften them. Now add the ginger paste and stir them nicely. Next, add the paste made and mix them properly. Now add the cashews, raisins and coconut slices. Mix them properly. Add Little water to it and cook the mixture for about 5 minutes on low flame. Now add the fried potatoes and moong dal and mix them properly. Now add the rice and cook them for 5 minutes on low flame. Next, add the cauliflower and mix them. Keep a check that the rice gets softened. When the rice gets softened add the ghee on the top and cover the lid. Our khichdi is ready. Our Bengali Bhog recipe for Maa Durga is ready to be served.

PALAK KHICHDI

The following ingredients are needed to make this easy special khichdi recipe.

  • 1 cup of rice
  • Half cup of moong dal
  • 2 tablespoons of ghee
  • 1 tablespoon of cumin seeds
  • 2 Cardamom seeds
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 cinnamon sticks
  • 4 cloves
  • Half cup of onion chopped
  • 1 tablespoon of ginger paste
  • 1 tablespoon of garlic paste
  • 2 green chilli
  • Half cup of Tomatoes chopped
  • 2 cups of spinach leaves puree
  • 1 tablespoon of turmeric powder
  • Salt as per taste

All we need to do is take a pressure cooker and add the rice and moong dal in it. Next, add 2 cups of water to it. Pressure cook them for 2 whistle in medium flame. Next, we need to heat a pot and add the ghee to it. Next add the bay leaf, clove, cinnamon sticks, cardamom and the cumin seeds. Stir them for 1 minutes. Next add the onions to it. Stir fry them till the colour turns golden brown. Next, add the tomatoes. Stir them nicely till the tomatoes gets soften. Now add the turmeric powder, ginger and garlic paste. Stir them nice for about 2 minutes. Next add the spinach puree. Stir them and let it cook for about 5 minutes. Now add the pressure-cooked rice and moong dal. Stir them nicely. Add the salt and split green chilli. Now add 1 cup of water. Stir the mixture and let them cook for more 5 minutes in low flame. Our delicious palak khichdi recipe is ready to serve.

OATS KHICHDI

The following ingredients are needed to make this easy special khichdi recipe.

  • 1 cup oats
  • Half cup of moong dal
  • Half cup of tomato chopped
  • Half cup of carrots chopped
  • Half cup of green peas
  • Half cup of beans
  • 1 tablespoon of red chilli powder
  • 1 tablespoon of turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon of asafoetida
  • 2 tablespoons of ghee
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon of ginger paste
  • 2 green chilli
  • Salt as per taste

All we need to do is heat ghee in a pressure cooker and add the bay leaf, cumin seeds and asafoetida in it. Next, add the ginger paste and stir for 1 minute. Next add the tomatoes and stir them nicely till they gets soften. Next add the carrots , peas, beans to it and mix them properly. Stir the vegetables for 5 minutes in low flame. Next add the turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt. Mix them properly. Now add the moong dal and the oats. Mix them well and then add 4 cup of water. Pressure cook the whole mixture for 2 whistle in low flame. After 2 whistle let the pressure set down of the pressure cooker. Open the lid of the pressure cooker and have a look that the moong dal and the oats have been cooked or not. If cooked then simmer them in medium flame till the consistency of the water decreases. And our oats khichdi recipe is ready to be served.

SWEET POTATO KHICHDI

SWEET POTATO KHICHDI

The following ingredients are needed to make this easy special khichdi recipe.

  • 2 cups of sweet potato grated
  • 1 cup of potato grated
  • 2 tablespoons of oil
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds
  • Few curry leaves
  • 1 tablespoon of green chilli paste
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons of coriander leaves chopped
  • Half cup of roasted peanuts
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of salt

All we need is heat a pan and put oil in it . Next add the cumin seeds and the curry leaves. Stir them. Now add the sweet potato and the normal potato. Stir them and cover the lid for about 10 minutes in low flame. Now add the salt , lemon juice, sugar , roasted peanuts and the coriander leaves. Mix them well and then again cook for more  5 minutes. BAJRA KHICHDI

The following ingredients are needed to make this easy special khichdi recipe.

  • 1 cup of bajra Dalia
  • Half cup of moong dal
  • 4 tablespoons of ghee
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 small cinnamon stick
  • 2 cardamom
  • 2 cloves
  • 1 teaspoon of asafoetida
  • 1 cup of onion chopped
  • Half cup of tomato chopped
  • 1 tablespoons of garlic paste
  • 1 tablespoon of ginger paste
  • 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder
  • 1 tablespoon of salt
  • 1 tablespoon of red chilli powder
  • Half cup of carrots grated
  • Half cup of beans
  • Half cup of peas
  • Half cup of corn

All we need is Soak the bajra dal in 2 cups of water for about 1 hour. Next heat a pressure cooker and the ghee to it. Next add the bay leaf, cumin seeds, cloves, cardamom , cinnamon sticks and asafoetida. Stir them. Now add the onion and fry them till the colour turns golden brown. Next, add the ginger paste and garlic paste. Stir them nicely for about 5 minutes on low flame. Next add salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, all the grated vegetables, bajra and the moong dal. Stir fry them for 5 minutes in low flame and then add 4 cups of water. Cover the lid and pressure cook for 2 whistle in low flame. Next, let the pressure cooker gets cool. Open the lid and stir them. Our bajra kichdi recipe is ready to serve.

sabudana khichdi
SABUDANA KHICHDI

SABUDANA KHICHDI

The following ingredients are needed to make this easy special khichdi recipe.

  • 1 cup of sabudana
  • Half cup of pea nuts
  • 2 tablespoons of ghee
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds
  • Few curry leaves
  • 2 green chilli
  • 1 cup of boiled potatoes cube
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 2 tablespoons of coriander leaves chopped
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • 1 tablespoons of lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon of ginger grated
  • 2 tablespoons of coconut grated

All we need to do is soak the sabudana in 2 cups of water for 2 to 3 hours. Till the sabudana gets soften. Next heat a pan a dry roast the peanuts and keep them aside. Next heat a pan and add ghee to it. Next, add the cumin seeds and curry leaves and stir them well. Next, add the ginger and the green chilli. Stir them. Now add the boiled potatoes. Stir them for 2 minutes. Now add the sabudana, peanuts, salt, sugar and grated coconuts. stir them well. Now add the lime juice. Stir them for 5 minutes. At last, add the coriander leaves and mix them well. Our special sabudana khichdi recipe is ready to be served.

HYDERABADI KHICHDI

HYDERABADI KHICHDI

The following ingredients are needed to make this easy special khichdi recipe.

  • 1 cup of basmati rice
  • half cup of moong dal
  • half cup of onions chopped
  • 2 green chilli
  • 1 tablespoon of ginger paste
  • 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder
  • half cup of mint leaves chopped
  • 2 tablespoons of coriander leaves chopped
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds
  • 2 cloves
  • 2 cardamom
  • 2 tablespoons of ghee
  • 1 tablespoon of oil
  • salt as per taste

All we need to do is heat a pressure cooker and add the ghee and oil to it. Next add the cumin seeds, bay leaf, cloves and cardamom. Stir them fir 1 minute in low flame. Next add the onions and tir fry them till the colour turns translucent. Net add the ginger paste and the green chilli. Stir them well for about 2 minutes . Next add theturmeric powder, salt , mint leaves and the coriander leaves. Stir them well for aboit 2 minutes. Next add the moong dal and the basmati rice. stir them for 2 minutes. Then add 2 cups of water to it. Cover the lid of the pressure cooker. Allow them to cook for about 2 whistel in low flame. After 2 wgistel turn off the flame and let the pressure of the cooker set. Open the lid and check the consistency of water. If no more water is there then our special hyderabadi khichdi recipe is ready to serve.
