We can also make this recipe in the vegetarian form such as with paneer. mushroom, potato, etc. This is a sweet and spicy recipe made with lots of sauce, capsicum, and onions. As the name suggests chili in it, many people may think it is very spicy. But it is totally wrong. This recipe has a balance of sweet, sour and spice. And the recipe which I have mentioned here is loved by my family, friends and relatives. And I am sure it will be loved by you all.

CHILI CHICKEN
Ingredients
FOR CHICKEN MARINATION
- 300 grams chicken cubed
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoon corn starch
- 1 tablespoon soya sauce
- 1 tablespoon red chili sauce
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 1 tablespoon ginger paste
- 1 tablespoon garlic paste
- 1 tablespoon rice flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper powder
FOR THE GRAVY
- 1 cup onions cut in square layers
- 1 cup capsicum cut in square shaped
- 1 cup red bell pepper cut in square shaped
- 1 tablespoon ginger grated
- 1 tablespoon garlic grated
- 2 green chili spilited
- half cup spring onions
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon soya sauce
- 1 tablespoon red chili sauce
- 2 tablespoon tomato sauce
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- tablespoon black pepper powder
- oil
Instructions
MARINATION OF THE CHICKEN
- Take a large bowl and add all the ingredients needed for the marination of the chicken.
- Mix them very well.
- Cover the lid of the bowl and keep them in refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
FRY THE CHICKEN
- Take a pan and add 4 tablespoon of oil to it.
- Heat the oil very nicely
- Put the pieces of the chicken and fry them for 10 to 15 minutes in low flame.
- When they turns crispy and golden brown place them in a kitchen tissue.
PREPARE THE SAUCE
- Heat a pan and add 2 tablespoon of oil in it.
- Add the garlic and the ginger in it.
- Stir them for 1 minute in low flame
- Now add the onions, red bell pepper and capsicum.
- Saute them for 5 minutes in low flame,
- Now add the sauces one by one and mix them well.
- Now take one- fourth cup of water and the mix the corn starch in it. Add this mixture to the pan.
- Now add the sugar, salt, vinegar and the black pepper powder.
- Next add the fried chicken to it.
- Mix them very well. And let them simmer for 2 minutes so that the chicken gets coated with the sauce.
- Our chili chicken is ready. Garnish them with the spring onions.
Notes
- Do not over cook the chicken while frying them.Â
- When adding the corn flour mixture to the gravy. Stir them continiously so that they do not form lumps in it.
- You can add more spices according to your choice as red chili powder, schezwan sauce, green chili sauce and many more.Â
- Do not over cook the vegetables. Let them be little crunchy.
